I would agree with giving Marsa Alam a go for diving. The hotels in the Marsa Alam region (it is a big region) tend to have on site diving, whereas in Hurghada you normally be having to head out on a day boat. Both areas have great diving so you really wouldnât be disappointed with either area.
There are great liveaboards from Hurghada, but you have to check the weather this time of year. Elphinstone is easyly accessible from Marsa Alam. I really enjoyed staying at the Tondoba eco village.
